About Us
Originally founded in 1903, The Northern Great Dane Club is one of the oldest Great Dane clubs in the country.
We organise two shows a year – one Championship Show, and one Open Show.
In addition, we are one of the three clubs which take turns to host the Dane of the Year Show, our last one being held in 2024.
For details of future shows, and results of past shows, please visit the ‘Events’ page.
We are involved in work to improve the health and welfare of the breed, including the investigation of inherited defects, collaborating with the other clubs, the breed council and Liverpool University – there is more information about this within the website.

The Northern Great Dane Club acknowledges The Kennel Club, The University of Liverpool and any other organisation or person, their IPR, Copyright and Trade Marks, and thanks them all for being allowed to use their material on this website.
